Care instructions for jewellery
Silver jewellery care
Avoid contact with chemicals: Silver jewellery should not come into contact with perfume, hairspray, lotions or cleaning agents, as these can attack and discolour the silver.
Correct storage: Store silver jewellery in an airtight box or cloth bag to minimise contact with air and moisture, which slows down oxidation. This also prevents scratches on the gemstones.
Cleaning: If the silver jewellery still tarnishes, you can easily clean it yourself. Either you have a silver cleaning cloth that you can use. Or you can use a cotton wool pad and white toothpaste. Put a dab of toothpaste on the pad and rub your piece of jewellery with it until it shines again. Then wash off the toothpaste with lukewarm water and leave to air dry.
Care of gold-plated jewellery
Avoid contact with chemicals: The gold-plated jewellery should not come into contact with perfume, hairspray, lotions or cleaning agents, as these can attack and discolour the surface.
Correct storage: Store gold-plated jewellery in an airtight box or cloth bag to minimise contact with air and moisture, which slows down oxidation. This also prevents scratches on the gemstones.
Cleaning: Your gold-plated jewellery is slightly more sensitive on the surface than the silver line. You can carefully wipe the jewellery with a soft cloth and lukewarm water. But be careful not to damage the delicate surface.
